Becta - Safeguarding Children in a Digital World
This document is a reference work that is used by Local Authorities to support the formation of policies on esafety.
This is what the chief executive of Becta has to say about responsibility:
I am delighted to launch this e-safety strategy toolkit on behalf of Becta, to
coincide with our second conference – Safeguarding Children in a Digital World.
We all have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children,
and that responsibility must apply to the online world which is such an important
part of the everyday life of children and young people.
Hector Protector Colouring Book
This is one of a series of colouring books designed to support work on esafety. It is placed here as an example of the context which might be developed with older children in terms of writing for a specific purpose for a known audience.
The rest of the books can be found here
New Technologies- a personal health warning!Guidelines for Student Teachers and NQTs
This is a booklet designed to help you and to get you thinking ... hear what it has to say:
Don’t be the victim!
Student teachers leaving university are frequently unaware of how new technologies can be abused. What is amusing and entertaining amongst college friends can be used later to ruin your professional career.
